Review: Revlon Matte Lipstick in Pink Pout (Philippines)

3:17 PM

I don't own a lot of matte lipsticks because I'm a lip and cheek tint kind of girl but I decided to finally give it a try.

What: A matte tube lipstick
Where: Widely available in Department stores.
Price: Php 499 in malls and Php 300 in Philippine online shops.

Packaging

It doesn't come in a box. The lid is sturdy and is transparent at the top so you could check the color. All the information is cramped in small fonts on the sticker.

Ingredients:

Performance

It's really matte but not that creamy. I was quite frustrated when I applied it on my lips because it isn't that opaque unlike reviews that I've read online. Do I need a lip primer for this? Or maybe I need to apply concealer or foundation over my lips so the color would pop. With a matte and muted lipstick like this, a strong eye makeup is needed.

It doesn't feel oily either. It feels kind of powdery on the lips. Unfortunately, after 1-2 hours of wearing this, I began to see that disgusting white gunk on my lips. A big no-no. It also isn't long-lasting. If you have pale or dark lips this isn't for you.

Ew.

Conclusion

No me likey! I suggest to go for NYX Lipcream in Tokyo or Istanbul instead! They're so much better and cost less than Php 300 each!

I won't buy Pink Pout again.
