I
have been blogging since 2011, mainly sharing about product reviews and beauty
and health finds. I haven’t heard of Bloggys since recently. It turns out,
Bloggys has been awarding a number of blogs for a few years now. So what is
Bloggys? Bloggys is one of Philippine’s annual event in which top blogs are
awarded. This year, Bloggys will take place in November, Tuesday in SMX Aura Convention
Center, Taguig City.
People
can nominate Filipino blogs and bloggers of their choice. Web logs or simply “blogs”
are what a lot of people turn to when they need help with a lot of things —
beauty, health, baking, crafts, DIY, financial tips and even legal help. However,
not all blogs are informative. Some are written haphazardly. That is why you,
as a blog reader, have to make an effort to make sure your favorite blogs get
recognized so more people will be informed. In Bloggys this coming November,
give your favorite bloggers a chance to own the spotlight by nominating them. So
how can you nominate? Simply go to www.bloggys.ph
and click the button under “I want to Nominate.” Take note that voting starts
on September 1, 2015 so readers have a time to choose which blogs to nominate.
The voting event for finalists takes place on October 5. Awarding night in SMX
Aura for the finalists happens in November. It is pretty exciting, right?
Are
there Judges?
I
have mentioned that there is a voting event for the finalist blogs on October
5. Although you can nominate your favorite bloggers, there is still a panel of
judges to make the final decisions. I know it may sadden you if your favorite
blogger doesn’t make it to the finals, but you see, these judges must make sure
that the nominated blogs are truly engaging, entertaining and informative as
well.
In
this year’s Bloggys event, there will be 13 judges from various backgrounds. It’s
interesting to take note that an associate professor from U.P. College of Law
is taking part of Bloggys 2015. The country managers of Nuffnang, ODesk and CEO’s
of various digital design and start-up companies will also make up the panel of
judges. If I were you, I’d make sure to pick a really worthy blogger to satisfy
the reputable panel of judges.
Sponsorship and Volunteers
If
you visit their website, you will see that there is a “Volunteer” and “Sponsor”
option. If you want to volunteer as an usher, events personnel, verifications
officer or be part of the Bloggys 2015, you can contact them and ask for their
email so you can send your curriculum vitae and email them the extent of your
services. Bloggers and media personnel
are welcome to volunteer as well. Being a volunteer is a good way to network
with likeminded people as well. If you own a brand or represent a brand and you
want to increase its exposure, you can be a sponsor. Bloggys 2015 will be
attended by relevant people to whom you may want to advertise your brand.
Overall,
I think Bloggys 2015 is great for bloggers and readers alike.
