I am a sucker for organic products or anything that has the least wacky chemicals in them. While strolling down the grocery aisle in the personal care section, I simply ignored all those commercial products (but Dove and Celeteque products are quite good, especially Celeteque acne spot corrector. Dried my tornado pimple quickly). I love organic products for one reason: I don't feel guilty harming my body. But is this really organic and natural?
What: 50ml Facial wash
Price: Php45
Where I bought it: Robinson's Supermarket
Ingredients:
What it says on the bottle:
Okay so it's not entirely organic because of sodium benzoate (used as a preservative; benzoic acid with sodium hydroxide; "The FDA says it's safe because the amount used to preserve foods is very
low, but don't ever combine it with vitamin C or E, as this causes
benzene to be formed", read more HERE), but at 45 pesos, I think it's worth a try. Besides, there's always Human Nature and I am a big fan. On the good side, that's the only harmful chemical in it. It smells like vanilla and leaves my face feeling soft and moisturized, even after patting my face dry. Commercial facial washes make my skin tight and dry. But wait, tocopheryl acetate IS vitamin E, so this has benzene in it now?
What's your say?
