Review: Human Nature Pure Strength Bamboo Charcoal Soap

10:02 PM

I commute from time to time and I know that the toxins and pollutants can settle inside my pores. Although I scrub well, it is inevitable that a percentage remains lodged into my pores and gets absorbed through my skin. Yikes! So I decided to try this soap because bamboo charcoal has a long list of benefits that include:

  • Absorbing toxins such as arbonic oxide, ammonia, formaldehyde, benzopyrene, nicotine (hello smokers who smoke in my face! Grr) and tar.
  • Promoting blood circulation.
  • Releasing negative ions to eliminate positively charged particles (viruses, bacteria, etc).
  • Deodorizing.

Product Description

135grams of organic soap with peppermint oil and bamboo charcoal.
Php 75 (US$1=Php 45) in Human Nature stores and Robinson's grocery. I got it at 25% off because my mom's a Human Nature member.

Performance

I love this soap, even if it is designed for men. At first, it may be a turn off; the suds/lather is dark gray in color and my soap dish looks disgusting with black marks on it but I don't mind. Plus I love the minty feel during and after showering. It lathers very well, too. It gets a bit chilly when I step out of the shower. Because this is organic, place it on a dry soap dish after use so it won't melt easily.

I use this when showering before I sleep so all the yucky toxins that have accumulated on my skin and inside my pores are flushed out. I noticed that my bacne doesn't reoccur anymore, even without using salicylic acid 5%.

Verdict
I love, love this soap! I would buy again and I recommend this to men and women. Ladies, don't get turned off by the black color and gray lather, please.
